Marguerite has traveled the world with boundless curiosity, seeking teachers of great understanding wherever she goes.
Marguerite is forever grateful to her mother, Elizabeth Preston Shinouda, who always supported her in finding her own unique way. When at a young age, Marguerite put aside Nancy Drew in favor of reading Edgar Cayce, and lost interest in Barbies in favor of Astronomy and Star Trek, Elizabeth always fed her curiosity.
Marguerite's father, “Al” Shinouda, also contributed accidentally to Marguerite's passion to understand worlds beyond the physical. He left Marguerite with his sister in Egypt for 3 years, hoping she would learn more traditional and ladylike values. However, Marguerite's Aunt Esan was a Coptic nun, and took Marguerite to live in Deir El-Mualaq monastery/convent for long stretches. This convent is unique in Egypt, as it is reputed to be the place the Holy Family went, when they fled into the desert. It has a Lourdes-like healing spring, and every year hundreds of pilgrims walk through the desert to come there to pray and be healed. Marguerite personally witnessed dozens of miracles.
Upon finding his daughter now wished to become a nun, Operation Make Marguerite a Lady was deemed a failure (although an argument could be made that it was hyper-successful), and Marguerite was brought back to the US. While it is difficult to hold on to that level of intensity in everyday modern life, having been witness to miraculous healings is something that stays forever in Marguerite's awareness.
Marguerite also thanks Ruth Hetzel for introducing her to Yoga, Feldenkrais, Vegetarianism and a deep friendship.
Marguerite learned of Rebirthing and Traegar and now ACCESS from her dear brilliant friend, Jann Thomas.
Marguerite considers herself greatly blessed to have studied Reiki, the Ascended Masters, and much, much more with Grand Master Randall Hayward (pictured below). They still enjoy friendship over the miles and years.
